amp;nbsp; Why our baskets At Orchidmate, we take pride in designing and manufacturing our wooden orchid baskets in-house, setting us apart from many other orchid suppliers. Crafted meticulously by our skilled artisans, each basket is made from rot-resistant Acacia auriculiformis, ensuring exceptional durability even in high-humidity tropical climates. These baskets have a proven track record of lasting at least five years. Our wood orchid baskets come in a variety of unique shapes, including hexagon, octagon, round, pyramid, and half-moon. Among them, our round wood orchid baskets stand out as the most beautiful in the market. What sets our baskets apart is their thoughtful design, featuring openings that facilitate drainage and air circulation—essential elements for the healthy growth of orchid roots. This design closely mimics the natural habitat of orchids, providing an ideal growing environment. During the initial 2-3 months after repotting in our wood baskets, more frequent watering may be required (around once every 3-4 days). However, after this period, the potting media becomes more efficient at water absorption, ensuring that your orchids thrive with no risk of root rot in the basket. With strong and healthy root systems, orchids bloom significantly better, and their blooms last longer. At Orchidmate, we prioritize creating an environment that fosters the well-being and stunning beauty of your beloved orchids.   What can grow in these baskets   Our orchid baskets are generally designed to be deeper (taller) than the regular square Vanda baskets in the market, so that they can be used for most of orchids (such as Cattleya, Laelia, Dendrobium, Brassavola, Stanhopea, Epidendrum, Lycaste, Masdevallia, Miltonia, Odontoglossum, Oncidium, Phalaenopsis). As can be seen in the gallery our Laelia and Cattleya grow and bloom extremely well in these baskets. We offer wooden baskets with various sizes (4 to 14) to accommodate from seedling to specimen orchids. They can be used either as hanging baskets or table top ones. Most of the popular growing media, such as bark, sphagnum moss, coconut husk, charcoal can be used with these wooden orchid baskets.
