The chasing hammer is a staple on jewelry makers benches. You can use this hammer for chasing or riveting and texturing. This hammer has a 3 oz head with a 1 inch face that's wedge mounted on a hardwood handle. The face of this hammer head is slightly domed and highly polished so it won't mar your work. This chasing hammer features a smooth, slightly convex face for use with chasing punches and for flattening as well as a ball pein side for riveting and texturing. Because it's only slightly rounded, the large face has a wider striking area with smooth edges so it won't mar your work. Measurements: The domed head is 29mm in diameter. The ball pein head is 13.5mm in diameter. The hammer is about 11 inches long. CAUTION: Always wear safety glasses. Not intended for use by children.
